It was a weekend of growth for SFWEM in the East Bay. In the span of a few days we’ve doubled our wireless mesh connections between the eastern and western portions of the San Francisco Bay. On Saturday a team lead by Mathison KJ6DZB installed nodes at the Contra Costa County Communications Club (4Cs) WA6KQB repeater in El Sobrante, with assistance from Christian KK6EPZ, Isaac NB6F & Howdy KE6BEE. On Sunday a team lead by Chris KJ6WEG installed nodes at the Oakland Radio Communication Association (ORCA) WB6NDJ repeater in the Oakland Hills with assistance from Tom KG6MAC, Martin W6MRR, Jeff KN6EAO, Isaac NB6F & Mathison KJ6DZB. Combined with last week’s Chabot deployment this brings the total number of cross bay links to 6! Here’s to geographic diversity!
SFWEM Looks forward to expanding the network to serve the entire bay area. If you have a site you think we should connect to, please email us: sfwem@undef.net
